Below are some of the frequently asked questions related to SABRE™ Ranger 5000

SABRE™ Ranger 5000 was designed for remote area. Auto network registration is the default setting to ensure terminal always register back to the network after rebooting.
To perform antenna pointing:
a) Power up. All the Antenna Pointing LEDs will flash briefly and goes off. This indicates the terminal is ON.
b) After a short while, the terminal will go into auto network registration mode. This is indicated by synchronous flashing of all the LEDs.
c) Press and hold the yellow Pointing Mode button for more than 3 seconds to disabled the auto network registration.
d) Refer to Quick Start Guide for manual network registration steps.

This error indicated that the SIM card used is wrong. SABRE Ranger 5000 is compatible to BGAN SIM and BGAN M2M SIM. Check and ensure that correct SIM is used.

This error indicates that the user authentication is failed.

The APN username and/or password are incorrect. Please check the APN settings on the Data Profile through Web Console. You obtain the APN username and password from your service provider. Contact your service provider if you are unable to solve the problem.

In general, this error shows because the signal is weak for the activation of a PDP context or due to the network congestion.

CME 539 can also denote that the Satellite connection was lost and a new connection needs to be established. It usually occurs when there is any partial blockage of the signal.

Check for blockage and shift the unit to a better line of sight location.
