10. ModBus enables multiple devices to be connected to the same network. You can configure up to 10 devices to send a command and get a response from the RS485 interface.
From the Web Console, navigate to Menu > Settings > Terminal Info > Information to check the details of the terminal (Serial Number, IMEI, IMSI number). You may need to supply this information when contacting your service provider.
By default, the buzzer is disabled. Navigate to Menu > Settings > Terminal Settings> Antenna Pointing Buzzer to enable Audio Assisted Pointing Mode.
Ensure that there is no blockage between SABRE™ Ranger 5000 and the Inmarsat satellite. There must be a clear line of sight between the terminal and the satellite. Verify the signal strength through the web console.
New temporary login password is required to unlock the Sabre™ Ranger 5000 terminal.
With SIM Card inserted, power on the terminal.
Open any web browser with http://ranger5000 and log in with the following information.
- Username: admin
- Password: (leave it blank)
Click Log in.
A token pin code will be generated.
Email the token pin code to your service provider within 24 hrs.
Log in to web console using the given temporary admin password.
Navigate to Menu > Settings > Terminal Settings > Factory Reset to reset the terminal to factory settings.
Set new admin password.
The Cellular Modem of the Sabre™ Ranger 5000 would often be used as the primary data connection. When the cellular service is down, the network connections will automatically connect to the BGAN network.
